Freight House Woodworks
A complete custom-furniture design studio.
Commissions welcomed.
I have been making furniture for 25 years. I am comfortable working with a wide range of styles from Shaker, Queen Anne, and Chippendale to original contemporary designs.
I seldom make the same piece of furniture twice. Once each piece is finished, it moves quickly from my shop to the customer's home. Therefore, my "showroom" consists of the various pieces in process on the shop floor, and a portfolio of previous work (See the Freight House website ).
If you would like to see some pieces in progress, or discuss a piece of your own, please call or visit the shop, a turn of the century railroad freight station green in South Royalton. The Freight House is open for visits Monday through Friday; please call ahead if possible.

Directions to Freight House WoodworksTo find the Freight House from Interstate 89, Vermont's major north-south corridor: take exit 2 in Sharon. Follow signs to the Vermont Law School. This means you will drive north on Vermont Route 14 to the junction of Vermont Route 110. At the junction turn left across the bridge into the village of South Royalton. Drive around the village green, continue straight past the South Royalton House to the stop sign in front of the town library. Turn right through the railroad underpass, turn right again, and then right once more onto our driveway.
